Lion Dance

The school conducts lion dance performances during the Chinese and Gregorian New Years periods, and throughout the year on request.

We are able to tailor the lion dance performance to your requirements and have a large selection of different lion heads available. Options include varying the type and number of lions, having a lucky fat man or even including traditional shaolin martial arts performances.

Each of our lion heads has undergone a traditional eye-dotting ceremony which is part blessing and part ceremony to invoke the spirit of the lion.

We do many many wedding performances and shop blessings. We have even performed at Optus Centre Sydney in Macquarie Park and for the Art Gallery of NSW.

Our lion dance team is led by Johnny Yap and Peter Chee, both of whom have been awarded scholarships from the Chinese Government and studied advanced lion dance techniques in Guangzhou, China.
